Britney Chambers
Brit’s background is weighted heavily in the writing and editing of public relations materials. She has aided the representation of clients such as Propel fitness water, American Airlines Center, The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) of Texas, Texas Back Institute, McCarthy Building Company, LearnStar and Texas Commercial Energy. Her efforts in the non-profit sector have also developed grant writing and event planning skills.
Her work with the Public Utilities Commission brought her into the public affairs arena. With the PUC, Brit was involved in education programs for apartment dwellers, homeowners and the business sector. She also wrote and developed a train-the-trainer manual, which is still in use. Her public affairs work includes representing the smART for ALL Political Action Committee, a committee formed in support of the Arts of Collin County. Brit also wrote and consulted on press materials for the campaign for Byron Cook, a member of the State House of Representatives for Navarro County, Texas.
Brit’s health care client list includes public relations and marketing communications for: Texas Back Institute, Pain Treatment Centers of Baton Rouge and Natchez, Susan Fletcher, Ph.D., AIRCare, Olympic Orthopedic and Orthovita/Cortoss.
She is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America. Along with her work in the public relations field, Brit is also a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of North Texas, where she has written and researched extensively on the teaching of writing and reading to college-aged students. She has served on public relations committees for non-profits such as The Volunteer Center of Dallas County, V.O.I.C.E, Inc., PRIDE Children’s Performance Center, For Goodness Sake!, Stonebridge United Methodist Church, Resurrection Lutheran Church and Young Life Frisco.
Her past agency work includes positions with Burson-Marsteller Worldwide and C. Pharr and Company. Brit has also served in an event planning capacity with the Volunteer Center of Dallas County, now the Volunteer Center of North Texas, and in an investor relations capacity as a consultant for the PDR Exchange.
Brit holds two degrees from the University of North Texas, a Bachelor of Arts in journalism/public relations with a minor in marketing and business communications, and a Master of Journalism degree with an integrated communications focus. While involved in her studies, Brit was recognized with membership into the Kappa Tau Alpha honor society and also received the Outstanding Campaign Award for her work with V.O.I.C.E., Inc., a children’s non-profit in Corsicana, Texas.
