Wendy Kula

As the president of The Kula Group, Wendy has 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing and communications. Her wide spectrum of experience and knowledge empowers Wendy to assist her clients in assessing and addressing all of their communications needs. Her background in agency, corporate and health care public relations has enabled her to design and implement results-oriented campaigns for a diverse client base – from health care organizations to business-to-business clients to not-for-profit organizations.

In the spring of 2005, she directed The Kula Group in a local Collin County political action committee, smART for ALL, in support of the proposed Arts Hall in Collin County (ACC). Working with political players, the media and the public resulted in a 69 percent vote “FOR” the new Arts Hall largely due to the diligent public relations efforts that she and her company contributed to the campaign.

In Fall 2005, The Kula Group teamed up with Lift Up America, Tyson Foods, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Ty Inc. and professional and college sports teams (NFL, NBA, NHL and MLS) in an effort to bring the gift of food, the gift of sight and the gift of hope to our nation’s disadvantaged. The Kula Group is currently working with them on strategic planning, event planning, all national media relations, and corporate sponsorships.

Just a few of Wendy’s current and past health care client list includes public relations and marketing communications for: Texas Back Institute, Texas Health Resources, Susan Fletcher, Ph.D., Texas Star Pharmacy, Legacy ER, Jerald Goldstein, M.D., AIRCare, Mark Hardin, M.D.; Wesley Brady, M.D.; Heel Inc., TranS1, EDS Health Care Industry Group, Mental Health Association of Dallas and The Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

She was responsible for directing and managing hospital-wide public relations, communications, telemarketing, media relations, special events and community outreach activities.

She also worked for Knape&Knape/Public Relations Group providing counsel, planning, implementation, media relations, promotions and evaluation of results for clients such as the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Winstead Sechrest & Minick P.C., Schroder Center Management, Inc., St. Paul Medical Center, Motion Graphics, Visions: The Women’s Expo, City of Garland and KRLD-AM.
